Saphir Médaille d'Or Pâte de Luxe Wax Polish

The Saphir Médaille d'Or Pâte de Luxe is a traditional wax polish designed to protect, enhance, and bring out a high-gloss shine on smooth leather footwear. A long-standing staple in proper shoe care, it’s the product used when you want to take your shoes beyond a basic finish.

Formulated with a blend of premium natural waxes and oils, including beeswax, carnauba wax, and turpentine, it nourishes the leather while building a protective layer that enhances both colour and depth. The inclusion of natural pigments allows for subtle colour enrichment, helping develop a richer patina over time.

Particularly suited for achieving a ‘glaçage’ or mirror shine, it works best on toe caps and heel counters, where a more polished finish makes the most impact. The formula balances softness and hardness, allowing you to build shine gradually without compromising the leather.

Used regularly, it helps protect against wear while maintaining a clean, well-finished appearance.

Uses: Smooth leather shoes and boots

• Ingredients: Waxes: Beeswax, Carnauba, Montan Wax, Shea butter oil, Turpentine spirit 
• Care : Massage into leather in a circular motion with a soft cotton cloth. Leave to dry for 5 minutes, polish off.

Step 1 – Prepare the Leather

Start with clean shoes.

• Brush off dirt with a horsehair brush - Saphir Médaille d'Or Horsehair Brush 
• For deeper cleaning, use Renomat if needed
• For regular care, apply Renovateur to nourish the leather first

Step 2 – Apply the Wax

Using a cloth or small brush:

• Take a small amount of Pâte de Luxe
• Apply in light circular motions
• Focus on even coverage

Step 3 – Let It Dry

Allow the wax to dry for around 5 minutes.

Step 4 – Brush to Shine

Use a horsehair brush to buff the shoe.

• This brings out a soft shine
• Removes excess wax

Step 5 – Build a Higher Shine (Optional)

For more shine:

• Apply additional thin layers
• Focus on toe caps and heels
• Add a small drop of water if needed
